UNOs Exploring Frontiers of Leadership is an interactive, intensive program that focuses on vital business concepts your managers need to shoulder greater responsibilities. Highly interactive workshops challenge managers to think creatively, act independently and grow as leaders. Workforce wellbeing retreat
(One-day) Increasing awareness of employee wellbeing may be today's most significant business strategy. According to a 2009 survey by WorkUSA, companies with highly engaged employees have 26% higher revenue per employee than companies with disengaged employees. The leadership program kicks off with a one-day retreat that introduces managers to concepts and new technologies that encourage employee involvement and increase productivity.

Strategic Plan and Project Selection |

(One-day) Participant will consider how their organization approaches teamwork: what processes and policies are used, what works, what doesnt work, what are barriers to collaboration and how can they be removed? They will examine how to use the leadership role to create improvement in workplace engagement. A group project will be initiated to provide a practical demonstration of how leadership defines, evaluates and justifies projects.

Managing Projects |

(Two-day) Participants will learn techniques for planning, implementing, and completing projects to produce desired results on time and within budget. Learn by doing as you actually plan, execute and control a project simulation. You will learn how to use tools to set and achieve measurable objectives, estimate project time and costs, determine project scope, manage resource requirements, and control project results.

(Two-day) Participants will learn how to encourage spirited dialogue, reduce the number of meetings needed, manage disagreement and create alignment through better decision making.

Negotiating the Deal |
|
(One-day) A leader's skill in negotiations may increase gains, prevent loss, or improve circumstances for the organization. You will learn the foundational techniques for finding joint gain based upon Principled Bargaining, a method pioneered through the Harvard Negotiation Project.

Building and Sustaining a Learning Organization |
|
(One-day) In learning organizations people continually expand their capabilities, new and innovative patterns of thinking are nurtured, and everyone is included in the journey. To be a learning organization, leadership must support a culture of growth and transformation. Participants will identify strengths/weaknesses and resources/lack of resources that impact the creation of a learning environment in their organization.

Fundamentals of Sustainability |

(One-day) Examine how the limits of resource availability are measured, the social dilemmas accompanying resource distribution, and propose a framework for effecting change. Participants will discover what they can do personally and within the organization to deliver measurable environmental, economic, and social improvement.

Ethics and Influential Leadership |

(One-day) When you evaluate your decisions as a leader, do you ask these questions: Is my decision a truthful one? Is my decision fair to everyone affected? Will it build goodwill for the organization? Is the decision beneficial to all parties who have a vested interest in the outcome? How you answer these questions, may determine whether you are an ethical leaderor not. Participants will consider the role of leadership in facing ethical dilemmas.
