CORE REQUIREMENTS for certification

 Core Principles for Business Analysis
Begin with the basics of business analysis, understanding its importance in the enterprise and the Business Analyst’s role in it. Students will develop feasibility studies and write a Business Case.  Learn to develop a solution’s scope and vision.

 Requirements Elicitation and Modeling
Focus on how to define functions, attributes, constraints, preferences, and expectations from clients. Techniques to gather the requirements will start with Brainstorming and conclude with Reverse Engineering, with participants practicing at least five of the methods. Students will create models from case studies.

Successful Project Management
Learn techniques for planning, implementing, and completing projects to produce desired results on time and within budget. You will use project management tools to set and achieve measurable objectives, estimate project time and costs, determine project scope, manage resource requirements, and control project results. Learn by doing as you actually plan, execute and control a project simulation.

Learn how to use Visio to visual model business processes. The course is filled with interactive exercises that help ensure student success.

Learn and develop polished, effective, professional techniques that influence negotiation outcomes in a supportive, non-threatening setting. Acquire skills to determine which negotiating techniques are appropriate for given people and situations.

Leading Project Teams
Learn how to develop a high-performing team through recognizing and addressing the individual needs of members as well as collective needs of the group. Discover how a project/team leader's role changes as the team grows.

Running Productive Meetings
It's been said that more important decisions are made in meetings than anywhere else. You may find that hard to believe - in view of the way most meetings are planned and conducted. Participants will actually run a meeting in the class.

Financial Considerations for Business Decisions
Learn how to read and interpret financial statements (income statements, cash flow statements, and balance sheets), create cash and capital budgets, and communicate your business ideas through the appropriate financial language.
