Summary:
This course is designed to provide key fundamental concepts of Business Analysis. The course provides an initial foundation of knowledge which prepares the student for advanced Business Analysis topics. The course includes discussions of the who, what, how and why of the Business Analyst role and includes such critical skills as: effective Business Analyst communication methods, gathering, documenting, managing and transmitting requirements, the unified process, work products, use cases in a nutshell, UML modeling of use cases, activity diagrams and risk mitigation.
Those individuals who desire to participate in a software development project as a Business Analyst or wish to begin the first steps towards preparation for the Business Analyst certification should take this course. This course is designed to be 50% to 75% exercises and discussions depending on the needs and experience of the class participants, and on the number of class days being taught.
